An elegant Homebush house fetched $7,425,000 at auction on Saturday, smashing the suburb’s residential record by $2.15 million and passing from one family of entrepreneurs to another.Vendor Lynda Van Der Weegen, wife of medico entrepreneur Dr Chris Douglas, had bought the property at 91-93 Abbotsford Road 15 years earlier for $2.62 million.
